From a very young age, Shubhendra showed great talent for music. His father, the late N R Rama Rao (who was one of the earliest and closest disciples of Pandit Ravi Shankar), initiated him into the intricacies of the sitar. His mother, Nagaratna, is a trained Saraswati Veena player. Growing up in a house where there was music all the time, it was natural for him to pick up an instrument. At the age of seven he took his first lesson from the great master Pandit Ravi Shankar and continued to visit his Guru in different cities in India to pursue his musical education.〔 The year 1984 was a milestone year in his life. At the insistence of his Guru, Shubhendra moved to Delhi to live with and learn from him in the true guru-shishya tradition. The years that followed were a period of introspective and creative metamorphosis. He tried to build in a discipline within himself, practicing from anything between ten to twelve hours every day. His Guru nurtured his talent, giving him deep insights into what it entailed to become a complete artist.〔http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P3-2780579161.html〕〔http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-features/tp-fridayreview/a-tribute-to-his-master/article4582617.ece〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Shubhendra Rao」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
